A New Reality

Fear drags us all to reality,

Keeping us locked here,

Never letting us leave,

Making us feel trapped in our own world.

In school we're told that we aren't ready for the real world,

That the real world is to great for us,

But what in the real world is so great?,

How is rape great?,

How is tragedy great?

The only escape we have is in our dreams,

This is where our wishes become our temporary reality,

Sometimes even the dream can become a nightmare,

Woken from a deep slumber with screams,

This is when reality sneaks into our dreams.

We can wish for the world to be great,

We can wish for no more tragedy,

But if we do nothing,

The way of life will never change.

We have to create the key to escape our fearful prison,

Work day and night to create the change,

Only then will our wishes come true,

Because only we can create the new reality.
